Zach
entered the Corps in the fall of 2001 as a fifth grader at
Clara
Byrd
Baker
Elementary School
. He is the First Sergeant of the Drum Section, a regular
instructor for Junior Corps classes, and a drum major of the
Junior Corps. In 2009, he was awarded the Talmadge Alphin
Award, given to a senior drummer whose essay most describes how
being a member of the Corps has prepared him for life.

His
memorable trips and performances include:
Trips to Boston, Massachusetts
Trip to Fort Ticonderoga, New York
The Godspeed Trips
Trip to Basel, Switzerland
Trip to Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Zach
will graduate from Jamestown
High School
in June of 2009, and plans to attend either Randolph-Macon
College
or
Longwood
University
with a possible major of pre-law. Zach also is an Eagle Scout with
Boy Scout Troop 103 in Williamsburg.
